Meet the distinguished professionals who oversee the Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe

About Our Board

The Estate Agents Council Board comprises professionals from diverse backgrounds who bring valuable expertise to guide the Council's activities. Board members are appointed in accordance with the Estate Agents Act (Chapter 27:17) and serve for a term of three years. The Board is responsible for policy formulation, strategic direction, and oversight of the Council's operations.

Grace

Grace Mukahanana

Board Member

Grace Mukahanana is the Managing Director and Principal Registered Estate Agent for Rehoboth Realtors. She is a Board member of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (REIZ) and former Registrar of The Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe. Grace has 27 years working experience of which 19 years are in real estate & investments. She holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Studies Honours Degree, a Certificate in Investment and Portfolio Management all from the University of Zimbabwe. She also holds an IMM Diploma in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing Management. A certificate of proficiency (COP) from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe Grace is a Registered Estate Agent and member of the Estate Agents Council. She is an Associate member of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (REIZ) Valuation and

Agency Division.Mrs. Mukahanana acquired her experience from organizations such as Old Mutual, Estate Agents Council, Africom, African Sun and PG. At Old Mutual where Grace spent a significant part of her career, she rose through the ranks in the property business from the role of Property Manager up to the position of General Manager. Prior to her current position, Grace was the Registrar of the Estate Agents Council Zimbabwe, the regulatory board for Estate Agents in Zimbabwe.Grace is a person of high integrity, a dedicated and committed member of the Real Estate industry who is committed in seeing the industry scale up to greater heights.

Patience

Patience Patongamoyo

Board Member

Patience Patongamwoyo is the Managing Director, Principal Registered Agent, and Licensee for Seeff Properties Zimbabwe. She started her real estate career in 2001 after joining what was then Gainsborough Estate Agents, which later changed its name to Seeff Properties Zimbabwe, giving her 22 years of expertise as an all-rounder in the industry. Patience obtained her Estate Agents License in 2008. Further, she is an (Associate) of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe. Patience is a certified Accounting Technician, a holder of an Executive Diploma in Business Leadership from the Zimbabwe Institute of Management, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Eaton Business School and GMU – Italy.

Jaqueline

Jaqueline Ndengu

Board Member

Jaqueline Ndengu is a member of the Estate Agents Council. She held positions at Finhold, the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, the Centre for Disease Control, LAWS, and Action Properties. Jaqueline is currently a registered agent and director at DylTan Properties. She also served on the Industrial and Commercial Rent Board. Jaqueline went to Goromonzi High School. She earned a BSc in Computer Science and Statistics as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. further, Jaqueline has a Project Management certificate from the University of Pretoria.

Luke

Luke Matimba

Board Member

Luke Matimba is a dynamic real estate agent with more than 20 years of experience in the real estate business. He passed through Property Hopes Real Estate and Southgate & Bancroft and is currently the Assistant Property Manager for the Mining Industry Pension Fund. Luke served on the board of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe for six years and is a former Vice President of the Institute. In addition, he is a Registered Estate Agent, a Registered Valuer with the Valuers Council of Zimbabwe, and a member of the South Africa Institute of Valuers (SAIV). Luke graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a BSc in Real Estate Management and a Master of Business Administration – Management degree. He is a Fellow – in the Valuation Division of REIZ and a Moderator of REIZ Economics and Property Management Examination papers. As a Minister of Religion, Luke has a passion for Counselling and research. 

Desire

Desire Dube

Board Member

With over 15 years of experience, Desire Dube has worked with Royal Properties and Express Real Estate. He is a registered real estate agent and valuer in good standing with EACZ, REIZ, and the Valuers Council of Zimbabwe. Desire currently works as a real estate practitioner for John Pocock & Company in Bulawayo. Additionally, he is a visiting lecturer at Lupane State University. Desire is a core author of a journal article titled ‘Infrastructure Development and Property Values in Lower Income Residential Properties in Bulawayo’. The article was published in the International Journal of Built Environment and Scientific Research Volume 2, number 2. He has a BSc (Hons) in Property Development and Estate Management from the National University of Science and Technology in the First Division and a first-class MSc in Real Estate Management from the University of Zimbabwe.

Audrey

Audrey Kwangwama

Board Member

Audrey Kwangwama is a registered Estate Agent with EACZ. She is currently employed as a Lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe in the Faculty of Engineering and The Built Environment’s Department of Architecture and Real Estate. Her research interests are in valuation, real estate development, and urban planning. In 2010, Audrey helped the University of Zimbabwe launch the BSc. Honours in Real Estate Degree. She has also served as a peer reviewer with Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE). Audrey went to Bradley and Gokomere High Schools. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Rural and Urban Planning, a Master of Science in Rural and Urban Planning, and a Master of Business Administration, all from the University of Zimbabwe.

Audrey currently serves as the Chairperson of the Valuers Council of Zimbabwe and she has also been appointed as the Vice Chairperson of the Urban Development Corporation Board from 2016-2019 and from 2021 to date. She has held various positions with the City of Harare, the University of Zimbabwe, CB Richard Ellis (now Dawn Property Consultancy), Old Mutual Property, and Renaissance Partners. Among other duties, Audrey has also served as the Chairperson of the former Department of Rural and Urban Planning (now Department of Architecture and Real Estate) at the University of Zimbabwe (January-August 2006) and President of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (2011-2013). 

Charles

Charles Manhiri

Board Member

Charles Manhiri is the current Chairman of the Child Welfare Council, appointed in terms of the Children’s Act in December 2022, and the State Counsel II (Deputy Director), Policy and Legal Research Department in the Ministry of Justice, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs. He briefly acted as the Director Constitutional Affairs Department from 2019-2022. Charles was Area Public Prosecutor for Mashonaland East and Mashonaland Central Provinces for 14 years combined (7yrs for each Province). A registered legal practitioner, conveyancer, and Notary Public, he holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree from the University of Zimbabwe in 2011, a Public Prosecutors Certificate (1992 – Domboshava Training Centre), and a Certificate in Middle Management from the Zimbabwe Institute of Public Administration and Management in 2001.

Lloyd

Lloyd Mhishi

Board Member

Lloyd has 27 years legal practice experience as an associate and partner in the well-known law firms of Honey & Blanckenberg and Dube Manikai & Hwacha in Zimbabwe and as Founding and Senior Partner of Mhishi Nkomo Legal Practice whose details are found at www.mhishilaw.co.zw. He has extensive experience and knowledge of Conveyancing Law and Practice, Corporate and Commercial law, Arbitration and Criminal and Civil litigation.

He has also been a lecturer for Conveyancing and Notarial Practice since 1999 and has been the Chairman of the Procedural Law Department of the University of Zimbabwe for over ten (10) years. He also assisted with the lecturing of these courses on a part time basis at the Midlands State University and at the Great Zimbabwe University.

Lloyd was a Councillor of the Council for Legal Education for many years and is its Chief examiner for the Conveyancing and Notarial Practice examinations. He has also been a Councillor of the Council of the Judicial College of Zimbabwe. Has also served as a resource person for the AIAS and the World Bank, on land reform and land tenure.

 Have been appointed and served as Director of a number of organisations including the following:- Dawn Properties Limited, FBC Building Society, Ecobank Zimbabwe Limited, The Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council and the Standards Association of Zimbabwe General Council.

Lloyd was a Councillor and President of the Law Society of Zimbabwe between 2003 and 2014. Has served as Councillor of the Estate Agents Council since 2014 and is currently the Vice Chairman. He is an elected member of the Zimbabwe Cricket Board and has served on various Constitutional Commissions including being Commissioner of the Judicial Service Commission.

In 2005, he authored and published a book entitled the ‘The Law and Practice of Conveyancing in Zimbabwe’. Have authored and presented a number of papers on various topics relating mainly to Land Rights and Land Administration in Zimbabwe.

Nicodimus

Nicodimus Kuipa

Board Member

Nico Kuipa, attended Goromonzi High School and the University of Zimbabwe and also attained an MBA degree from Africa University Mutare from 2004 to 2007. He has been a realtor since leaving the university in 1993, passing through the hands of CB Richard Ellis, Knight Frank, Old Mutual Properties and Southgate & Bancroft.Kuipa founded Southbay Real Estate in 2006 with a staff of one and growing to the current 24. He is a former president of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (2005 -2007). He has held many other positions in the Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe including being the immediate vice chairman and finance committee chairman.

Kuipa is a real estate practitioner with in excess of 26 years experience covering all facets of the property industry including property management, valuations and sales. He has handled valuations for many organisations including banks and insurance companies and pension funds. He is greatly motivated by the ability to take and excel in new challenges.
